Elastomer MarketChemical Raw Material Costs

On December 2, 2025, the Elastomers Division of Kuraray announced a price adjustment for the following elastomer products manufactured at its Kashima Plant in Japan. The price increase will take effect from January 1, 2026 (or as stipulated in existing supply agreements):

All SEPTON™, HYBRAR™, and TU-Polymer products manufactured at the Kashima Plant:
Increase of USD 1/kg (USD 1,000/ton).

Kuraray stated that the ongoing rise in raw material, process chemical, utility, logistics, maintenance, and other costs has exceeded the scope of what the company can unilaterally absorb through internal cost-saving measures. This price adjustment aims to partially recover the increased costs to ensure stable supply and the continued advancement of new product development.
