On May 5, 2026, Turkey issued Announcement No. 2026/13, stating that upon application by Turkish domestic producers, it is initiating the third anti-dumping sunset review on tarpaulins made of polyethylene and polypropylene originating in China and Vietnam (in Turkish: polietilen ve polipropilenden mamul şerit veya benzerlerinden dokunmuş mensucat - yalnız dokuma brandalar). The products concerned fall under Turkish tariff codes 3921.90.60.00.11, 3921.90.60.00.13, and 3926.90.97.90.29. During the investigation period, the existing anti-dumping duties remain in effect. The announcement is effective from the date of publication.
Interested parties must submit questionnaire responses and case comments within 37 days from the date of publication.
On January 11, 2008, Turkey initiated an anti-dumping investigation on polymerization-based plastic products and woven products of polyethylene and polypropylene originating in China and Vietnam. On November 15, 2008, Turkey issued a final affirmative ruling, imposing anti-dumping duties of 1.06/kgonproductsfromChinaand1.06/kgonproductsfromChinaand1.16/kg on products from Vietnam, covering Turkish tariff codes 3921.90.60.00.11, 3921.90.60.00.13, 5407.20.11.90.00, and 5407.20.19.90.00. On December 25, 2012, Turkey amended the final ruling, expanding the product scope to include tariff codes 3921.90.60.00.11, 3921.90.60.00.13, 3926.90.92.00.00, 3926.90.97.90.19, 5407.20.11.90.00, 5407.20.19.90.00, 5903.90.91.90.00, and 6306.12.00.00.00. Subsequently, Turkey conducted two sunset reviews, issuing affirmative rulings on November 11, 2014, and May 6, 2021, extending the duty period. The products are now covered under Turkish tariff codes 3921.90.60.00.11, 3921.90.60.00.13, and 3926.90.97.90.18.
