EU Issues Final Anti-Dumping Ruling on Adipic Acid from China

On May 5, 2026, the European Commission published a notice announcing its final anti-dumping ruling on adipic acid originating in China. The definitive anti-dumping duties are set as follows: Chongqing Huafon Chemical Co., Ltd. — 29.1%; Tangshan Zhonghao Chemical Co., Ltd. — 42.3%; other cooperating companies — 31.5%; all other Chinese producers/exporters — 42.3%. The products concerned fall under EU CN code ex 2917 12 00 (TARIC code 2917 12 00 10). The dumping investigation period covered January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024, and the injury investigation period covered January 1, 2021, to the end of the dumping investigation period. The ruling takes effect on the day following its publication.

The European Commission initiated an anti-dumping investigation on adipic acid originating in China on March 14, 2025, and issued a preliminary anti-dumping ruling on November 13, 2025.
