By the end of 2024, 30 to 60 stores in Belgium, France and Luxembourg will begin using environmentally friendly packaging on 13 food products, which will be expanded to thousands of stores in these three countries by the end of the project.

The goal of the program is to get industry players to replace most plastic packaging with fiber packaging. Food producers such as Candia and packagers such as Thiolat (which, like Carrefour and ViewSonic, are also based in France) are committed to this goal and leading the effort.
