On March 26, Sinopec and the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in Bangkok to further strengthen cooperation between the two parties in product promotion and market development.

Both parties stated that the signing of the memorandum of understanding will enhance trade and investment exchanges between the two parties, promote business cooperation between the two parties, help both parties jointly explore mutually beneficial cooperation opportunities, and further promote commercial activities between China and Thailand.

According to reports, Sinopec (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. previously signed an equity acquisition agreement with Thailand's Susco Refined Oil and Jet Fuel Sales Company to acquire 49% of its wholly-owned subsidiary Susco Dealers Company Limited to jointly expand the Thai refined oil terminal market.
