According to the U.S. International Trade Administration, the U.S. Department of Commerce recently announced that it will postpone the final ruling date of the anti-dumping investigation on some epoxy resins imported from China below fair value (LTFV) to March 28, 2025, and extend the implementation period of the temporary measures from the original four months to no more than six months.

On April 23, 2024, the Ministry of Commerce initiated an LTFV investigation on epoxy resins imported from China, covering the investigation period from October 1, 2023 to March 31, 2024.

On November 13, 2024, the U.S. Department of Commerce issued a preliminary ruling that epoxy resins imported from China were sold below fair value.

Subsequently, as a major exporter and mandatory respondent in this case, Huntsman Advanced Materials (Guangdong) Co., Ltd. filed a request for extension with the U.S. Department of Commerce on November 18, 2024, requesting that the final ruling be postponed to 135 days from the date of the announcement of the preliminary ruling (i.e. March 28, 2025), and that the applicable period of the interim measures be extended from four months to a maximum of six months. The Department of Commerce eventually approved the application.
