On December 3, 2025, at the 2025 China International Maritime Exhibition, Qian Bo, a representative of the French company GTT, formally presented material certification certificates for three density specifications (70/90/130) to Du Xu, General Manager of the R&D Center of Dehe Technology Group.

This certification signifies that Dehe Technology's materials now fully cover GTT's Mark III membrane-type cargo containment system and GST land-based membrane storage tank system, laying a solid foundation for the independent and controllable supply of key technological materials for China's LNG storage and transportation equipment.
"This certification is a significant milestone achieved through four years of continuous R&D and technological investment since Dehe Technology invested in and constructed the Jiaxing polyurethane composite material base in 2021," stated Du Xu, General Manager of the R&D Center, at the certification ceremony.
In 2021, Dehe Technology invested in the construction of a polyurethane cryogenic composite material production and R&D base in Jiaxing, Zhejiang, mainly producing composite polyurethane insulation materials for LNG storage and transportation. This project was selected as a "2022 Zhejiang Province 'Five Batches' Key Technological Transformation Demonstration Project," dedicated to realizing the domestic substitution of high-end polyurethane cryogenic composite materials for LNG carriers.
The certified materials will be directly applied to GTT's Mark III membrane-type cargo containment system and GST land-based membrane storage tank system.
The Mark III membrane-type cargo containment system is one of the mainstream technologies for large LNG carriers. Its insulation layer thickness can be adjusted according to boil-off rate requirements, demanding extremely high material performance in thermal insulation, stability, and safety.

Dehe Technology's material certification means that Chinese enterprises have reached international standards in the field of high-end materials for LNG storage and transportation, breaking the long-term monopoly of foreign companies in this sector.
As the global energy transition accelerates, international demand for liquefied natural gas continues to grow. GTT estimates that transporting 175 million tons of new annual capacity from existing LNG plants will require approximately 285 LNG carriers.
As the world's largest shipbuilding nation, China's influence in the field of LNG carrier construction is increasing. Dehe Technology's comprehensive GTT certification will provide Chinese shipbuilders with more reliable localized supply chain security, further consolidating China's leading position in the world's shipbuilding industry.
In the future, China's shipbuilding industry will continue to advance towards greener and smarter directions, with "Made in China" playing an increasingly important role in the global maritime sector.
