The first large-scale key equipment of the raw material purification unit for the Ningxia Baofeng Phase IV PE plant — the comonomer dryer — was successfully lifted into place in one go by the Third Engineering Company, laying a solid foundation for subsequent process piping, electrical and instrumentation installation, and overall project advancement. The comonomer dryer is critical equipment ensuring stable operation of the raw material purification process. To ensure safe, smooth, and accurate positioning of the equipment, the project team made advance preparations, conducted meticulous inspections of the equipment's appearance, lifting lugs, supports, and flange connections, and identified potential lifting hazards. At the same time, specialized safety and technical briefings were organized for relevant personnel, clarifying responsibilities, signaling procedures, and emergency response protocols to comprehensively ensure the successful completion of the lifting operation.

 

Project Overview

The project is located in Zone A of the Baofeng Energy Circular Economy Chemical Base, Linhe Industrial Park, Ningdong Town, Lingwu City, Ningxia. The Phase IV olefins project plans for 500,000 tons/year of coal-to-olefins, with products including 250,000 tons/year of polyethylene and 250,000 tons/year of polypropylene.

 

The project uses high-quality steam coal and chemical pulverized coal, focusing on the production of end products such as polyethylene, polypropylene, and fine chemicals, which are widely used in packaging, construction, automotive, electronics, and other fields.

 

Upon completion, leveraging its core technical advantages of high sealing efficiency, precise feeding, and strong adaptability, the project will effectively reduce raw material consumption for the enterprise, ensure production continuity, and significantly achieve cost optimization, capacity release, and operational efficiency improvement.
