U.S. crude prices fell sharply amid growing speculation that the war with Iran may soon come to an end.

West Texas Intermediate (WTI) futures declined approximately 1%, trading slightly below $102 per barrel.

The move came after Iran's state news agency IRNA reported that the Iranian president expressed willingness to end the war, reiterating Iran's demands for a ceasefire.
