DuPont recently announced that the name of the electronics company to be spun off and listed independently is "Qnity Electronics". DuPont also announced that Matthew Harbaugh will join the company on May 1, 2025 as Qnity's chief financial officer.

Qnity Electronics' incoming CEO Jon Kemp said, "The name is inspired by 'Q' and 'unity', the former represents charge and the latter represents the way we work with customers. Leveraging our collective expertise, we bring energy, curiosity and quality to make future technologies possible."

On January 15 this year, DuPont announced plans to complete the spin-off of its electronics business on November 1, 2025. The spin-off plan does not require a shareholder vote, but is subject to customary conditions, including final approval by DuPont's board of directors, receipt of tax opinions from lawyers, completion and effectiveness of Form 10 registration statement submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, applicable regulatory approvals, and satisfactory completion of financing.

On March 17, DuPont announced that Jon Kemp, the current president of DuPont Electronics and Industrial Division, will serve as the CEO of the future independent electronics company.

DuPont said that as a specialized electronic materials company, Qnit will become one of the largest and most extensive solution providers in the semiconductor and electronics industries, providing support for advanced computing, smart technology and connected technology. According to the information, the electronics company will mainly consist of existing semiconductor technology, electronic interconnect technology business, and electronic-related product lines in industrial solutions.
