BASF increases polyamide and PBT production capacity in India

Recently, BASF India Ltd. will increase the production capacity of its Ultramid® polyamide (PA) and Ultradur® polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) compounding plants located in Panoli, Gujarat and Thane, Maharashtra. Its India Polyurethane Technology Development Center will be inaugurated in Mumbai on May 28 and will support the market development of polyurethane in industries such as transportation, construction, footwear, appliances and furniture.
With the production capacity of Panoli and Thane plants increasing by more than 40%, BASF is fully capable of meeting the strong demand for high-performance material solutions in the Indian market. The additional production capacity will be put into use in the second half of 2025.
