Introduction

Zhejiang Petrochemical Co., Ltd., established on June 18, 2015, is a mixed-ownership enterprise controlled by private entities with state-owned investment. The company's 40 million tons/year refining and chemical integration project (hereinafter referred to as the "project") is located within the Zhoushan Green Petrochemical Base. It serves as a critical supporting project for the full oil product industrial chain development of the China (Zhejiang) Pilot Free Trade Zone and the implementation of the "Three Bases, One Center" development strategy. The project covers a total planned area of 41 square kilometers with a total investment of 173 billion RMB. It produces over 20 petrochemical products, including National VI gasoline and diesel, jet fuel, para-xylene (PX), high-end polyolefins, and polycarbonate. The project is planned comprehensively and implemented in two phases: - Phase I processes 20 million tons of crude oil annually, producing 5.2 million tons of aromatics and 1.4 million tons of ethylene per year. It was completed and put into operation by the end of December 2019. - Phase II, currently under construction, will process 20 million tons of crude oil annually, producing 6.6 million tons of aromatics and 2.8 million tons of ethylene per year.
