Introduction
Zhongtian Hechuang Energy Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Zhongtian Hechuang") was established in September 2007. It is a large-scale modern coal deep-processing enterprise integrating coal, coal chemical products, and power production. The company was invested and constructed by four shareholders: China Coal Energy Co., Ltd., China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (Sinopec), Shanghai Shenergy Co., Ltd., and Inner Mongolia Manshi Coal Co., Ltd. The equity ratio is as follows: China Coal Energy Co., Ltd. 38.75%, Sinopec Corp. 38.75%, Shanghai Shenergy Co., Ltd. 12.5%, and Inner Mongolia Manshi Coal Co., Ltd. 10%. The company has two directly affiliated enterprises: a Coal Branch and a Chemical Branch. The coal deep-processing production area is located in Tuke Town, Uxin Banner, Ordos, Inner Mongolia, covering a total area of 700 hectares. The overall construction scale of the company includes: allocated coal resources of 5.27 billion tons, annual Yellow River water resources of 27.29 million cubic meters, with annual production capacities of 25 million tons of coal, 3.6 million tons of methanol, and 1.37 million tons of olefins. The total estimated investment for the project is 54.3 billion CNY.The Coal Branch of Zhongtian Hechuang is mainly responsible for the construction and operation of the 25 million tons/year coal mine and the supporting coal preparation plant and railway loading station project. It administers the Hulusu Coal Mine and Menkeqing Coal Mine, which are two large-scale mines in the overall planning of the Hujiert Mining Area. The two mines are located in Uxin Banner and Ejin Horo Banner of Ordos City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, with designed production capacities of 25.0 Mt/a (Hulusu Coal Mine 13.0 Mt/a, Menkeqing Coal Mine 12.0 Mt/a) and service lives of 90.0 years and 95.5 years respectively. According to the overall project construction schedule, the Hulusu Coal Mine was put into production in March 2015, and the Menkeqing Coal Mine was put into production in June 2015. By then, they will become first-class domestically, internationally advanced, safe, efficient, modern, and digital mines.
