Introduction
Maoming Petrochemical Shihua Co., Ltd. (Stock Abbreviation: Maohua Shihua, Stock Code: 000637) was established as a joint-stock enterprise in October 1988, initiated by the state-owned mega enterprise Sinopec Maoming Petrochemical Company. Its A-shares were listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange on November 14, 1996, making it the first listed company in Maoming City.The company adheres to the principles and policies of the Party and the state, closely aligns with the economic development strategic layout of local Party committees and governments, and aims to build a nationally renowned chemical enterprise group. Leveraging resource and technological advantages, it integrates industrial, investment, and trade operations for comprehensive development, continuously expanding its scale and industrial level. The company boasts strong human and technical resources, with 18 employees holding doctoral or master's degrees, 236 with bachelor's degrees, and 218 with associate degrees; 2 professor-level senior engineers, 10 with senior professional titles, 63 with intermediate professional titles, and hundreds of skilled production personnel. Currently, Shihua operates eight wholly-owned or控股 subsidiaries and two equity-accounted subsidiaries (Maoming Shihua Dongcheng Chemical Co., Ltd., Maoming Shihua Dongyou Chemical Co., Ltd., Zhanjiang Shihua Chemical Co., Ltd., Hainan Maohua Shihua Petrochemical Co., Ltd., Hubei Maohua Shihua Technology Development Co., Ltd., Guangxi Shihua Petrochemical Co., Ltd., Guangxi Yuelong Petroleum Products Co., Ltd., Guangdong Shihua Construction Engineering Co., Ltd., Maoming High-tech Shihua Chemical Co., Ltd., Huizhou Daya Bay Petrochemical Power and Heat Co., Ltd.). It operates over 10 production facilities with capacities including 220,000 tons/year of polypropylene, 500,000 tons/year of gas separation, 100,000 tons/year of sec-butyl acetate, 150,000 tons/year of MTBE (methyl tert-butyl ether), 300,000 tons/year of C4 isomerization, 160,000 tons/year of specialty white oil, 300,000 tons/year of hydrogen peroxide, 140,000 tons/year of cracked C9 and cracker tar comprehensive utilization, and 20,000 tons/year of ethanolamine. The company employs nearly 1,000 people. Its main products include polypropylene powder, light white oil, industrial white oil, MTBE, ethanolamine, propane-butane mixture LPG, industrial hydrogen peroxide, hydrogenated C9 heavy components, high-purity dicyclopentadiene, polyester-grade dicyclopentadiene, copolymer resin, and cracked heavy tar. Products are sold across 11 provinces and regions including Guangdong, Guangxi, Hainan, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Chongqing, Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan, Fujian, and Hunan.The company has passed ISO9001:2008 quality certification and was awarded the title of Guangdong Province Quality and Benefit Advanced Enterprise in 2001 and 2003. It was honored as "Guangdong Province's Enterprise with the Strongest Core Competitiveness in 2009". The "Shihua" brand trademark is a famous trademark in Guangdong Province, and "Shihua" brand polypropylene resin was rated as one of the top ten trustworthy brands in national supervision and inspection. It has been successively recognized as a Guangdong Province Civilized Unit, Guangdong Province Advanced Collective, and Guangdong Province Model Workers' Home.
