Guangxi Huayi Chlor-Alkali Chemical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Guangxi Huayi Chlor-Alkali) was registered and established on April 25, 2019, with joint investment from Huayi Group and Shanghai Chlor-Alkali. Huayi Group is a large state-owned enterprise with a century-long history, established through asset restructuring under the authorization of the Shanghai Municipal State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission. Shanghai Chlor-Alkali was restructured in 1992 from the state-owned mega chlor-alkali enterprise Shanghai Chlor-Alkali General Plant. It is a state-controlled listed company issuing both A-shares and B-shares (stock code: 600618), with its total profit consistently ranking among the top in Huayi Group over the past five years. Its comprehensive strength places it at the forefront of the domestic industry. The Huayi Qinzhou Chemical New Materials Integrated Base is located in the Qinzhou Petrochemical Industrial Park in Guangxi, covering an area of approximately 8 square kilometers. The total planned investment exceeds RMB 90 billion, with a total output value exceeding RMB 100 billion, to be implemented in phases. To implement the integrated strategic development plan of the Huayi Qinzhou Chemical Materials Base, Shanghai Chlor-Alkali leveraged its own advantages to develop and invest in the Guangxi Huayi Chlor-Alkali Qinzhou project. This includes: - Phase II project: a 300,000 tons/year caustic soda unit, a 400,000 tons/year vinyl chloride unit, and a 400,000 tons/year polyvinyl chloride unit, along with supporting public utilities facilities. The project was completed and put into operation by the end of 2022. - Phase III project: a 250,000 tons/year hydrogen peroxide unit, a 300,000 tons/year propylene oxide unit, a 200,000 tons/year polyether polyol unit, and a 50,000 tons/year polymer polyol unit, scheduled for completion and operation by June 2025. In the future, Guangxi Huayi Chlor-Alkali will continue to uphold Shanghai Chlor-Alkali's social responsibility and value concept of "Dedicating to Revitalizing China, Home and Country Forever," and adhere to the corporate spirit of "Self-Motivation, Striving for Excellence." It will actively participate in the national strategy of the "Belt and Road" initiative, striving to become a sustainable professional producer of chlor-alkali and polyether polyols.
