Fujian Gulei Petrochemical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Gulei Petrochemical") was established on November 3, 2016, with a 50% shareholding each by Fujian Refining and Petrochemical Co., Ltd. and Xuteng Investment Limited. The inauguration ceremony was held in Xiamen during the Cross-Strait Entrepreneurs Summit on November 7 of the same year. Among them, Fujian Refining and Petrochemical Co., Ltd. is a large petrochemical enterprise jointly established with 50% investment each by China Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec) and Fujian Petrochemical Industry Co., Ltd. Xuteng Investment Limited is incorporated under the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China and is wholly owned by Hengkai Global Limited, a company jointly invested by several Taiwanese petrochemical industry enterprises including Taiwan Prosperity Chemical Corporation, Asia Polymer Corporation, He Tong Chemical, Shengtai Petroleum, Chinese Global Petroleum, and Lianhua Industrial.
